This basket is the second in the Club ‘Amazing America!’ series of baskets designed to celebrate the richness of our country’s culture and traditions. Available only to Club Members from May 2017 – February 2018.

The Pacific Basket represents unique weaving attributes used in the fishing industry in the Pacific coastal towns. Pacific Basin American Indians of the Northwest wove many types of open weave baskets. They were typically designed to collect clams and would allow them to be rinsed by letting the sandy water run out of the baskets.
